Montessori Nursery KLÍČEK (Sprout) - Children's Group

We are now accepting applications for the new Klíček class for children aged 3 to 4 years

"The first three years of life deserve much greater attention than all the others." — Maria Montessori

We offer the opportunity to place your child in the Montessori nursery KLÍČEK from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM for children aged 3 to 4 years (the child must turn 3 between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024). The nursery operates every weekday and provides full-day meals.

The nursery provides an environment that serves as preparation for children entering preschool institutions (kindergartens, childcare groups, etc.). It is a prepared environment equipped with Montessori materials that foster children's independence. The Klíček class is specifically designed for children aged 3 to 4 years, featuring special materials and activities suited for this age group. Children attend without their parents, allowing for a gradual process of becoming independent.

The nursery acts as a "bridge" between activities where children spend time with their parents (e.g., Montessori club Poupě, parent-child exercise classes, etc.) and their subsequent attendance at kindergartens, where they are already without their parents. Here, the child can spend morning hours or even afternoon rest and activities, gradually getting used to being without their parents. Parents can extend the time spent in the nursery based on their assessment of whether the child is ready for longer periods in a children's group without their parents. After completing the nursery, the child can naturally transition to the next prepared environment in the Montessori children's group LOUSKÁČEK here in Náměšť nad Oslavou.

In the nursery, we emphasize an individual approach, which is only achievable with a smaller number of children, with a maximum of 10 children at a time, guided by 2 qualified caregivers with expertise in Montessori education. Children are provided with a prepared environment suitable for ages 3 to 4, which they will also find in the subsequent preschool education at the Montessori Children's Group. This includes a small kitchen area for washing dishes, serving snacks, and food preparation, as well as potties and child-friendly toilets. Montessori materials for children aged 3 to 4 are accessible to them, and there are outdoor activities at a nearby playground and excursions in the local area.

Throughout the weekly program, they regularly visit the gym, the library, and participate in music therapy activities, along with planned outings and excursions. In our nursery, we strive to create an environment very similar to what they will experience in their upcoming preschool education, minimizing significant changes. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to spend a morning at the Louskáček kindergarten several times a year.

We focus on instilling hygiene habits, self-care, and care for the environment, as well as basics of table manners, helping with potty training, learning independence, and the fundamentals of etiquette (such as greetings and expressions of gratitude in natural situations). Our goal is to support the overall development of the child's personality, particularly in gross and fine motor skills, language, and to promote a well-rounded personal growth.

In the Children's Club, children will find several areas they can engage with:

  • Practical Life
  • Sensory Education
  • Exploring the World Around Us
  • Circle Time Activities
  • Outdoor Activities

MEALS

We provide full-day meals for children (snack, lunch, snack) along with a hydration plan. The meals for the nursery are sourced from Husova Primary School, Scolarest cafeteria, which prepares food for childcare groups, kindergartens, and schools. We supply our own snacks, emphasizing healthy foods and a large variety of fruits and vegetables.

We promote independence in children and teach them to participate in food preparation for the whole group. This includes helping with the preparation of fruits and vegetables, spreading toppings on bread, pouring soup, etc., in a child-friendly environment with appropriate utensils. Every day, they have the opportunity to sample small portions of each component of the offered meal and then choose what they would like to have for their snack based on their individual preferences.

In addition to the meals mentioned above, we prepare additional seasonal fruits, vegetables, and other healthy treats for the children every day.

Parents are informed a week in advance about the menu for the upcoming days through the internal application Twigsee.
